Coffee, cannabis & comics is a project I started over a year ago as I dove into my liking of comics.

As the alcohol consumption rates plummet because adults are choosing cannabis, I can’t help but wonder how the hospitality industry will change. On every corner you will either see a liquor store, bar or restaurant in many cities across the United States. Will these places be able to accommodate cannabis consumers assuming things go the way of national decriminalization and legalization?

Or will new ideas emerge to take over? One thing cannabis lounges lack right now is purpose, other than a place to smoke, why should people pay to smoke at your establishment?

What I want to build and how I plan to do it with some help.

Co-working space

Phase 1 would be acquiring a building and renting or leasing out space for co-working. This would also serve as headquarters for Chronicle and other future projects.

From holding meetings and interviews, to using the space for content creation, influencer rentals and podcasts + much more.

Add in Coffee & Merch

Phase 2 we would introduce a coffee shop to provide for our building and the community. Either by creating a new coffee brand or partnering with an existing brand, we’d begin sales of coffee, tea and pastries.

This would also provide a way to begin shopping merch ideas like apparel & products from partnered brands.

Release the Nerds

I love comics and I’m not the only one. The comic industry is both alive and thriving because of graphic novels. What better way to serve the community than bringing about place where you can nerd out with fellow members around a cup of coffee.

With this we’d be able to host book reading events, book clubs and share in the love for comics.

Club Canna

The final phase would all depend on the acquisition of a cannabis hospitality license. Assuming everything works in our favor, we’d open up a new members only floor. A floor that would only be accessible via a monthly membership or daily pass.

In this phase we’d also have the possibility to host canna friendly events with brands.

This is something I wish to make happen in the near future. With the increase of states legalizing and lounges being adopted, it’s possible it can happen.

Until then I’m going to continue to grind and work hard to get Chronicle to the level that we feel is possible and then be able to build more projects in the future.
